Charles Sampson is Rise Hariouna’s Vice President in the diaspora and plays a vital role in the organization. Charles Sampson Jr , a proud Garifuna who hails from the parish of Charlotte in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. As a young man growing up in the constituency of south central windward Charles always played an active part in the political changes taking place in his country.
He believed that choosing to serve as a police office at the age of 19 was important to his nation. Charles then left the police service in 2002 for a career in the Royal Navy, in the United Kingdom where he worked as a Marine Mechanical Engineer. During which time he kept an active interest in the political and social changes taking place in his beloved Hairouna, addressing issues of national concerns such as the Yugge Farrell incident among many others.
Charles is proud to serve as Vice President of the organization Rise Hairouna and hopes to continue to serve his country in every way possible to bring about positive changes in the development of St.Vincent and the Grenadines.
Justice is the indispensable companion of the truth. Accountability for crimes and gross violations, including individual accountability under criminal law, is key to reinstate public trust in justice and security institutions to rebuild the rule of law and sustainable peace.
