Nikeisha Williams holds the post of Public Relations Officer of Rise Hairouna. Nikeisha K. Williams B.A.(Hons) is an educator by profession, social activist and a strong advocate for women’s rights and development in St.
Vincent and the Grenadines. She is President of the South Leeward Branch, an arm of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers’ Union(SVGTU), the Chairperson of the Gender Committee, and she is a member of the Industrial Relations Committee of the SVGTU. Ms. Williams also sits on the Caribbean Union of Teachers’ Status of Women’s Committee in the capacity of Secretary.
On a personal note, Ms. Williams is the mother of one extraordinarily amazing 18 year old son but acts as surrogate mom to many, many of her nation’s teens and young adults.
Justice is the indispensable companion of the truth. Accountability for crimes and gross violations, including individual accountability under criminal law, is key to reinstate public trust in justice and security institutions to rebuild the rule of law and sustainable peace.
